Description: Although Saul spared Agag’s life, Samuel fulfills God’s will and kills the Amalekite king in the presence of Saul and his men. As the numeral at the head of the page indicates, this is plate #83 in a series of illustrations, and the name of the engraver, Peter Paul Bouche (b. ca. 1646), has been set at the base.
