Description: This engraving, by Peter Paul Bouche (b. ca. 1646), depicts Ezekiel’s vision of the heavenly throne room includes God reigning above, the wheel within the wheel, and the four creatures (man, lion, ox, and eagle). God’s presence is indicated by the placement of the Tetragrammaton in an illuminated cloud. As the numeral at the head of the page indicates, this is plate #144 in a series of illustrations.
