Description: After being driven out into the wilderness by Sarai, Hagar receives a word from the angel of the Lord saying that she would give birth to Ishmael. The initials of the artist or engraver (VW) have been placed at the bottom in the middle on a stone. The panel to the left depicts Jacob wrestling with the angel of God, while that on the right shows Jacob buying Esau’s birthright for a bowl of stew.
