Research
Pitts Theology Library exists to support your research today and the researcher of tomorrow. We hold more than 520,000 volumes, approximately 1200 periodical subscriptions, and provide access to more than 600 databases. Our public services staff are happy to answer questions to orient you to our holdings and good collections for your research. In addition to stopping by our desks to ask a question, the following options for learning more about the library's holdings and how to make use of them are available to you:
- Arrange a research consultation with any of our reference librarians. This time is set aside specifically for you to ask questions about resources and strategies for your research topic. We can provide these sessions individually or for a small group working collaboratively.
- Attend one of our Wednesday Workshops. These 50-minute sessions are designed to teach you about resources, skills, and technologies that can assist you in your coursework at Emory and in your ministries now and after graduation. In addition, we'll provide lunch!
- Explore our research guides. These guides and tutorials are designed to orient you to resources on a topic at your own pace, and are available 24/7 from our web site. If you would like to see a topic on a particular guide or suggest a resource for inclusion, let us know.
- Email, call (404.727.4166), or send us a chat message with your query.
- Read our Librarian Blog to find out more about library events, new resources, and general news. You can also "like" us on Facebook to receive these updates, if you prefer.
