Description: To the left of the image, Achan is shown burying the devoted things he took from the Battle of Jericho, against God’s prohibition, an act causing the Israelites to fall to the men of Ai in battle. Joshua beseeches the Lord, and Achan’s sin is revealed. For his disobedience, he is executed, and the Israelites are able to take Ai.
