Description: This image depicts Boaz coming to his fields from Bethlehem, to find Ruth gleaning among the sheaves behind the reapers. In the top-left corner Elimelech and his wife Naomi go with their two sons from Bethlehem in Judah to the country of Moab. In the top-right Orpah departs, while Ruth stays with her mother-in-law Naomi. At the bottom Ruth drinks from the vessels drawn by the young men. At the top Ruth gleans in the fields of Boaz. In the bottom-right corner Ruth lies next to Boaz. In the bottom-left corner is Boaz, receiving the right to make Ruth his wife.
