Description: This image depicts King Saul throwing his spear at David, while David plays the harp. At the top-left Samuel anoints David king before his brothers and father. In the bottom-left corner David brings food to his brothers in the Israelite camp. At the top-right Saul is shown clothing David in his armor before he goes out to meet the Philistine giant Goliath. At the bottom David is shown decapitating Goliath. In the top-left corner Jonathan meets David outside of the city. To the right David’s wife Michal, Saul’s daughter, helps him escape before he is killed. To the bottom-right Ahimelech the priest Nob gives David the showbread, because of which he and the other priests are slaughtered in the foreground.
