Description: This image depicts the continual war between Israel and Judah, with gifts of silver and gold being taken to King Ben-hadad of Aram-Damascus with hopes of bringing him over to the side of Judah. In the top-left corner Baasha son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, kills King Nadab of Israel, the son of Jeroboam. To the left Zimri, the commander of half of the chariots kills King Elah of Israel at Tirzah. Zimri burns down his house as it collapses around him in Tirzah, after seeing that King Omri of Israel had surrounded him. In the top-right corner King Abijah of Judah attacks King Jeroboam of Israel. In the bottom-left corner King Asa of Judah battles Zerah the Ethiopian. In the bottom-right corner King Asa of Judah removes his mother Maacah from being queen mother because she worships Asherah. At the top the seer Hanani rebukes King Asa of Judah, who places him in stocks, while to the right Asa’s feet become diseased and he dies.
