Description: This image depicts Elijah calling down fire from heaven to consume the king’s captain and his fifty soldiers to punish King Ahaziah of Israel for consulting the gods of Ekron, but then an angel instructs Elijah to go with the king’s soldiers. At the top Elijah falls and injures himself and then inquires of the gods of Ekron if he will survive. In the top-right corner Elijah is taken to heaven in a chariot of fire as Elisha watches. To the right Elisha purifies the waters of a city as a bear consumes the boys who mocked him. In the top-left corner Elisha provides an abundance of oil for a widow and her family. To the left Elisha raises the Shunammite's dead son back to life. In the bottom-left corner Elisha cures the stew by putting flour in it. In the bottom-right Naaman, the commander of King of Aram's army is healed of leprosy after being told by Elisha to wash seven times in the Jordan River. At the bottom are various kings from Israel, Zechariah (r. 753-752 BCE), Shallum (r. 752 BCE), Menahem (r. 752-742 BCE), Pekahiah (r. 742-740 BCE), and Pekah (r. 740-732 BCE); and from Judah, Jotham (r. 751-736 BCE).
