Description: The printer's device of Nikolaus Wolrab (d. ca. 1556) features a woman carrying a book in one hand and a crucifix in the other. The device is bounded by Latin verses from Revelation 21:2 (VENI OSTENDAM TIBI SPONSAM UXOREM AGNI, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb”) and 2 Corinthians 11:9 (VOS UNI VIRO VIRGINEM CASTAM EXHIBERE CHRISTO, “to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ”).
