We are pleased to open our newest exhibit, “A Most Perilous Journey: Erasmus’ Greek New Testament at 500 Years”! This exhibit features all five of the Greek and Latin New Testament published by the Dutch humanist Erasmus of Rotterdam. Surrounding these spectacular and rare Bibles are 15th and 16th century works that show the development of the Bible and the development of the career of Erasmus, as well as the profound impact his 1516 publication had on the form of the Biblical text, the shape of Biblical scholarship, and the development of reform movements in the church.
